In stillness now, they receive the covering.

They warm as it blankets, gentle in the chill.

“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall [on] the earth'” (Job 37:6).

“He gives snow like wool…” (Ps 147:16).

In wind it flies sparkling.

Limbs wave, clatter, and applause arises to dawning skies.

Someday…

“All the trees of the field will clap their hands…” (Is 55:12).

Waiting…

    1. Shanda,
      Gorillas in jungles to snow on mountains! Wide variety this week! God’s beauty from opposite ends of the globe. I love it!

  1. You just can’t beat PA mountains and forests. I took very similar pictures this morning, BUT I didn’t have the lovely prose you interspersed here. I am so glad I came.

    Keep warm,
    Dawn

    1. That’s what I think, too, Dawn. I remember when I finally flew down to Fla to visit my bro. (via shuttle to Detroit first, crossing Lake Erie). The prettiest flight segment was on the return trip home, when, due to weather, the small plane from Detroit had to fly low over the Penna countryside. Then, next day I had to drive down to south of Harrisburg to pick up college student son — and oh, those mountains around… Williamsport… I just kept thinking, this is the best, the best! Enjoy the beauty!

  2. perfectly beautiful!!!
    Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
    and the Hymn – Jesus Paid It All”
    Jesus paid it all,
    All to Him I owe;
    Sin had left a crimson stain,
    He washed it white as snow.

    1. Thank you, Bobbi, for your so-appropriate commentary. (Wish I’d thought of it.) God bless you, dear friend.
